L’Odyssée Sensorielle set out to transmit science differently — through emotion and the senses rather than text. Visitors walked, wordless, through eight natural worlds: an East-African salt lake, a savanna watering hole at night, the canopy and floor of a tropical forest, a coral reef, the Arctic.

The build layered three things at once: cinematic 8K footage projected at 360° and 180° envelopment; a spatialised soundscape rebuilt from real natural ambiences; and precisely timed scent diffusion keyed to each environment. Onlyview drove all of it — the synchronised playback of every video stream and the scent cues — across 36 4K projectors and roughly ten media servers.

The result is a journey that has to stay perfectly in sync to work: image, sound and smell arriving together, every time, for months on end. A premiere at the Muséum that went on to tour the world.
